As a result, she relocates him to Bel-Air, an elite Los Angeles neighborhood, to live with his Uncle Phil (Adrian Holmes) and Aunt Viv (Cassandra Freeman). On the other hand, Bel-Air features significantly more drama than the original comic series.
Is ‘Bel-Air ‘ Getting a Second Season?
Without a doubt, Bel-Air will return for a second season. Peacock originally ordered two seasons of Bel-Air, ensuring that the show will continue to receive new episodes for some time. The logical follow-up is, “How many episodes are in Season 1?” According to Decider, Bel-first Air’s season will consist of ten episodes. Season 2’s episode count had not been determined as of February 17, 2022.
The duration of each episode is another notable distinction between Bel-Air and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Bel-initial Air’s episode lasted one hour, and future episodes were approximately the same length. Peacock releases a new episode of the series every Thursday. This implies that if you want to binge-watch all ten episodes, you’ll have to wait until March 31, 2022, for Bel-Air Season 1, Episode 10.

Is Season 2 of ‘Bel Air’ Currently in Production?
The cast and crew of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air have been busy promoting Season 1’s premiere on social media, but there has been no word on when Season 2 will begin production – or whether it has already begun. However, Bel-Air star Jabari Banks is extremely active on Instagram, so hopefully, he’ll share some behind-the-scenes footage once the cast and crew begin filming Season 2!
Bel Air’s Story
The show picks off where the first season left off, with the life of a youngster reared in West Philadelphia drastically changing when his mother, concerned about the dangerous environment in which her child spends his days, chooses to send him to Bel-Air to live at the house of his wealthy uncles. Smith is widely considered the series’ primary originator.
Jabari Banks’ new Will (who is dressed in Will Smith’s Air Jordans as a tribute) is an easy guy to run into with the neighborhood packs and to escape trouble, he moves in with his wealthy family in Bel-Air. We needed to build a show that could stand on its own while still honoring the soul and progress of the previous season with this wonderful reinterpretation.
The series will revisit Willy’s story from the 1990s religious series but will dive further into the individual’s personal and familial conflicts. It will be different from a sitcom in that each episode will be an hour long. Morgan Cooper will executive produce the series, appear with the creators, and oversee the transition alongside Chris Collins (The Man in The High Castle). Collins will also act as interim showrunner for the series.

Jabari Banks then informs the Hollywood celebrity that “credit” for this should go to his father, who had recently persuaded him to attend a tryout. Despite the young man’s reservations, his father’s decision ultimately paid off.
Bel-cast Air was recently confirmed. The show is a remake of “New Prince of Bel-Air” (A Maluco no Pedaço). The Peacock series, which is still unavailable in Brazil, will have a more emotional tone than Will Smith’s legendary 1990s sitcom. Morgan Cooper, who directed the 2019 short film that reimagined the iconic series and inspired the remake, will serve as executive producer and showrunner. During the series finale, Will finally read the report about his father and realized Lou had a hard background and eventually went to prison. Upset that his family let him believe his father abandoned him, Will wanted to meet him. After Lou explained that he stayed away due to his experience of seeing his dad in jail, the teenager’s heart softened, and they began to talk about his childhood.
However, when Lou began speaking critically of his mother, the conversation veered left. Even if he and his father nearly came to blows, he may want to learn more about his father and make his own decision about whether or not to cut him out. Peacock is streaming Bel-Air.
When Will Bel-Air Season 2 Premiere?
Bel-Air was originally commissioned for two seasons, which is great news for fans of this dramatic retelling of the Fresh Prince’s life. Carlton, a representative for Olly Sholotan, verified the news in an exclusive interview with Digital Spy.
Sholotan’s rendition is a more deep and disturbed reimagining of Alfonso Ribero’s silly, lovable Carlton from the 1990s, with big aspirations for the character’s future.
“I still believe that Carlton has a lot of room to grow in terms of his connection with his Blackness and his relationship with Will’s presence in Bel-Air, even with where we concluded season one.”When we will witness this growth remains to be seen. The first season premiered in February of this year, so if the second season follows suit, we’re in for a wait.
Who Will Return for Bel-Air Season 2?
The entire Smith-Banks crew! At the very least, that is our expectation. The familial brood that is expected to return comprises the following:

Additionally, we expect Simone Joy Jones to reprise her role as Lisa Wilkes (Will’s love interest) and Jordan L Jones to reprise his role as Jazz.
Given the state of affairs between Will and his father Lou (Marlon Wayans), it’s reasonable to expect we’ll see a little more of Wayans as well.
What Will Happen in Bel-Air Season 2?
Season one’s conclusion forced Will to choose between staying in Los Angeles and venturing out on his own. While we anticipate his return to the protective embrace of the family unit, we predict season two will dive into how this occurs.
In the conclusion, emotions were running high, leaving Will with a sense of suspicion toward his loved ones. How they repair the damage will be critical to the season two plot.
Shoot a has already hinted at Carlton’s growing pains, saying, “I’m excited to see Carlton mature and learn more about his place in the world and the influence he can have.”
While his addiction may be behind him for the time being, he continues to be plagued by anxiety and crushed by the pressure to achieve. This concoction is a recipe for disaster.
He is not the only one we anticipate going through an emotional roller coaster, just not as severely. Ashley Banks from Akira Akbar had a relatively minor role in season one of Bel-Air.
Though she begins to explore her sexual identity by confessing her same-sex crush to sister Hilary and fighting for LGBTQ+ causes, the program barely scratches the surface of her narrative arc, which we believe will be expanded upon in the upcoming season.
Geoffrey’s return is near — the house is physically collapsing in his absence (hey G, where’s the food?). It will be fascinating to see how he and Phil heal their friendship following Geoffrey’s betrayal, which led Lou to their doorstep against Phil’s desires.
Reed Broderick (Michael Ealy) was seducing Vi, whispering beautiful words under the guise of professionalism. While he did not explicitly state that he was interested in her, we have your phone number, Broderick.
Their business relationship could take a turn for the worst now that Vivian has proposed partnering with them to assist new budding artists in breaking into the industry. Keep an eye on your back, Phil.
Morgan Cooper, the show’s creator, hinted at an interesting sequel: “A lot of different concepts are cooking right now, and so myself, our wonderful showrunners, and our fantastic producer’s team are all huddled together and plotting the story.”
“Just be aware that it’s packed with twists and turns. It’s going to be a wild ride, and the show’s potential is enormous, thanks in large part to this fantastic cast. They are capable of completing any task we set before them. They are prepared to do so. This is only the beginning; keep tuned.”

Lou (Marlon Wayans, in a surprise guest appearance) did not abandon Will (Jabari Banks) voluntarily in this rendition. Rather than that, he served 13 years in prison — which, for better or worse, was kept a secret from Will for the entirety of his life.
