Some big games came out in the last year, like Apex Legends Mobile and Blizzard’s famous Diablo IP. These games will take your brand-new Android phone on an exciting ride.
Both titles are now making good money and are known by a lot of people. But now that it’s a new year, new hot games are still coming out, so there are plenty of games ready to take the top spots on our list of the best Android games.
So, it’s time to bring in the new and get rid of the old. Let’s see which of Android’s upcoming games will shake things up in 2023.
Rainbow Six Mobile
Rainbow Six Mobile has bite-sized versions of Rainbow Six Siege’s famous tactical FPS gameplay. It’s a 5v5 hero shooter with game modes like secure and bombs that let you work with your team to play strategically.
So far, Rainbow Six Mobile has been tested in alpha, and just recently, it was tested in a closed beta in a few countries. Ubisoft has said that the game will come out for Android and iOS in 2022, but the Play Store will handle pre-registration.
But it just finished a closed beta in late 2022, and the beta feedback was used to improve the quality of life, so it’s clear that the launch won’t happen until sometime in 2023.
We expect a hard release this year since the developers are putting most of their time into making the player experience better. Check out the news about maps on the official Rainbow Six Mobile website if you can’t wait to find out more.
Torchlight: Infinite
You might have liked Diablo Immortal’s polished gameplay, but you don’t want to spend money on gear for the end game. Another action RPG will soon be coming to Android, which is good news. David Brevik, the creator of Diablo, has joined the team working on Torchlight: Infinite.
He will be in charge of all productions for this game, so if you like customization trees, hero classes, and hacking/slashing waves of enemies on the map, you might want to keep an eye out for Torchlight: Infinite. The game has had a few closed beta tests, and the new PC beta client has been released as part of one of these.
We thought the full release would happen in 2022, but it looks like the developers have committed to a soft launch of the open beta by pre-registering on the Play Store.
Since Torchlight: Infinite season 2 is about to start in the New Year and shows no signs of slowing down, we think the open beta will go on until the game comes out for real. Those who want to play should take part in the open beta.
Harry Potter: Magic Awakened
Fans of Harry Potter have had a rough time because there have been so many games set in the Harry Potter universe that either took too many creative liberties or gave you half-baked gameplay.
But it looks like the pattern is finally going to break, as Hogwarts Legacy, an open-world action RPG for consoles and PCs, is coming out in 2023, and Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, an online mobile card-battle RPG, is coming out this year.
The online mobile card-battle RPG is now available in some Asian countries. Since its release, the game has been praised for its polished gameplay and beautiful graphics. After the sad news that it would be pushed back to late 2022, Harry Potter: Magic Awakened will definitely come out in 2023.
But pre-registration is still open, so you can sign up now to make sure you get all the benefits and are ready when it comes out fully.
Battlefield Mobile
Battlefield is coming to Android this year thanks to EA Mobile. It will be free to play, but EA Mobile says that the only things you can buy inside the app will be cosmetics.
Battlefield Mobile will have both new and familiar content for people who have played Battlefield before. The main Conquest mode has already been confirmed, but there will be plenty of other game modes from previous Battlefield games, as well as new mobile-only modes.
Weapons can be customized in a lot of ways, and there are a few character classes to choose from, like medic and recon. You can’t sign up ahead of time yet, but there may be testing opportunities in your area, so keep an eye out.
Warcraft Rumble Arclight
If you’ve played Clash Royale, you’ll feel right at home with Warcraft Rumble Arclight. It’s a lot like that game in that you collect, builds, and power up an army of Warcraft Minis for tactical tower defense gameplay.
It focuses mostly on single-player content and doesn’t have any kind of multiplayer mode, but as you move through the stages, you’ll face challenges that will test your intelligence and the strength of your army.

So you can be sure that this book will keep you busy for a while. So far, the game has been through a few beta tests and is now available for pre-registration. There isn’t a set release date yet, but it’s likely to come out in 2023. Also, Warcraft Rumble Arclight got a makeover and a beta test for PvP. Before the final release, more changes are likely to be announced and tested.
Little Nightmares
We were surprised to hear in the middle of this year that the popular puzzle-platformer horror adventure game is coming to mobile. Little Nightmares won the award for the best independent game at Gamescom in 2016, and a few years later, Little Nightmares II came out. And keep in mind that this isn’t the first time the famous cute and scary game series has shown up on mobile.
Very Little Nightmares, the first book in the series, came out on Android in 2019. The console and PC versions of Little Nightmare will be ported to Android in the winter of 2023, so keep an eye out.
Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis
Square Enix isn’t done with Final Fantasy VII yet. It’s committed to putting out remakes and remasters of the whole experience, but this time, you can get the whole story of Final Fantasy VII on your phone.
Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis tells the story of everything that happened in Final Fantasy VII by using parts of every Final Fantasy VII-related book or game, such as the spin-off Dirge of Cerberus, the Japanese mobile game Before Crisis, Crisis Core, and Advent Children (movie).
Square Enix says that the story is a single-player experience that is told in episodes. The first episode of the beta will come out in the summer of 2023.
Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile
Hot battle royale games are still being ported to mobile devices. Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will get a piece of the pie, and it will be delicious. Each match in Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile can have up to 120 players, and the fan-favorite Verdansk map is back.
The best thing about this game is that it can sync your battle pass and friends list with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0.
This means you can play Call of Duty wherever you want without having to worry about your level in each game. Pre-registration is now open, and the official Twitter page confirms that the game will come out worldwide in 2023.
Valorant Mobile
Valorant is only available on PC right now, so a mobile release would let players who don’t have a gaming system try it out. Valorant is a 5v5 hero shooter like CS: GO, where you go on the attack or defense against other players.
If you’re skilled and quick on your feet, you’ll feel right at home in Valorant. The PC version of the game is also known for how hard it is to cheat, so you can expect Riot Games to take the same care with the mobile version.

Valorant Mobile was announced in 2021, and we already know that smaller-scale beta tests have been done. There’s still time for an open beta release date in the next few months.
The window for release was between 2022 and 2023, but now that 2022 is over, the date has been set for 2023. So keep an eye out for news about beta tests in the meantime.
Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade
The next Assassin’s Creed game from Ubisoft will be set in Ancient China. This mobile version will let you make your own character and play in an open world, so you can expect a full-fledged triple AAA Assassin’s Creed game this time.
The game is free to play and shouldn’t feel too different from the console versions, so anyone who wants to try Assassin’s Creed for the first time should look forward to this one. There is no set date yet, but it says “coming soon,” which could mean it will be out this year.
