Final Space Season 4: Since its premiere on TBS in 2018, Olan Rogers and David Sacks‘ animated comedy “Final Space” has given plenty of laughter as well as tension over its two seasons, with the second moving to Cartoon Network’s night-shift station, Adult Swim. To the chagrin and grief of fans everywhere, “Final Space” creator Olan Rogers publicly stated that his programme has been cancelled, with Season 3 being the final season (via Collider). That’s heartbreaking news — there’s no other way to put it — but given the unlimited possibilities for resuscitation in the age of streaming, let’s envisage a scenario in which Season 4 could happen.

We got confirmation of a second season the same day after the first season’s finale aired, and we only had to wait a week after the show’s second season finale to get confirmation of a third season. If someone steps in to bring “Final Space” back for a fourth season, we’ll probably have to wait around a year before we see any new episodes.

What Can We Expect for Final Space Season 4’s Plot?

It’s tough to guess what we could have seen in Season 4 now that the programme has been cancelled.

Season 3 relied heavily on the show’s darker themes, with the repeating slogan and concept of “survival” as its characters found themselves stuck within Final Space itself. Given that the majority of the characters survived the previous season, we may expect the following one to play off these themes with more empowered characters, using their newfound knowledge of Final Space and the cosmos to avenge any dead heroes and pursue Invictus.

The Season 3 conclusion left plenty of room for this plot to go in a variety of different paths.

If the series is saved by another network or streamer, the creative team will have to start up where they left off while dealing with the fallout from Season 3. What if it does not happen? So, we’re all stuck with a largely disappointing conclusion.

Who Might Be in the Cast for Season 4 of Final Space?

We don’t have an official cast list without an official confirmation, but we can make some educated estimates based on what we know.

Because the series plays with many histories, even death isn’t a guarantee that we won’t see a particular character again, so no matter what happens in Season 3, expect anyone and everyone to return for Season 4.

We may fairly presume that series protagonist Gary Goodspeed will return, along with Olan Rogers in the lead role and a number of supporting characters. Other mainstays who have voiced multiple characters include Tom Kenny (HUE, SAMES), Fred Armisen (KVN, Eduardo), Tika Sumpter (Quinn Ergon, Nightfall), and Steven Yeun (Little Cato, Mr. Graven), voicing a total of 48 characters, though IMDb’s “additional voices” suggest the actual number may be much higher when incidental characters are included.

Other cast members we hope to see return include Ashly Burch as Ash Graven, Ron Funches as Fox, Claudia Black as Sheryl Goodspeed, Vanessa Marshall as Invictus, and David Tennant as the diabolical Lord Commander.
