First Kill Season 2– When First Kill came to screens in June 2022, readers of author V.E. Schwab’s original short story of the same name would have known what to expect. But no one could have expected that it would become viral.
Twitter erupted over the new vampire romance series, shipping the two main characters, Calliope (Imani Lewis) and Juliette (Sarah Catherine Hook), and the program climbed to No. 2 in the United States, nearly displacing Stranger Things on Netflix’s trending list. After the first season’s cliffhanger of a conclusion, fans of the show are more than eager for more of Cal and Juliette’s love story, so here’s all you need to know about a prospective First Kill Season 2.
Warning: Spoilers for First Kill Season 1 follow. Cal and Juliette are an odd, yet oh-so-delicious love, story: Vampire meets vampire hunter, the vampire falls in love with vampire hunter, and the two leave their brutal families together.
For a generation raised on vampire romances, it’s refreshing to see LGBTQ+ people live through typical YA cliches. The rollercoaster of Season 1 came to a climax in the last episode when tensions reached a screaming crescendo and fans were left unsure of what might come next.
The eight-episode series is based on Schwab’s short novella… and it is truly quite short — the complete narrative is barely 34 pages long. A second season would go beyond Schwab’s already written content and go into new themes. How can Theo handle being a vampire, chased by his own family? Can Cal and Juliette rekindle their relationship? Will their families continue striving to keep them apart? Season 2 could start to answer these questions… as long as it gets renewed.
First Kill Season 2 Predicted Release Date
This hypothetical second season could premiere as early as the winter or spring of 2023 if the show gets renewed shortly and follows the same production timeline as Season 1. According to Deadline, Season 1 began production at the end of 2021, suggesting the first season was released approximately six months after filming began. This rapid turnaround is encouraging for those desiring more.
Schwab, who also wrote and produced for the first season, turned to Instagram to explain renewal. On June 12, she posted on her Instagram account, “To everyone asking me about a second season, it hinges almost completely on how many people begin and complete the first season within the first two weeks.” Some cast members reposted this article, urging viewers to watch the entire series to get First Kill renewed for a second season.
First Kill Season 2 Potential Cast
Due to the lack of a blueprint for Season 2, it is difficult to predict if further cast members could be added. Fans can undoubtedly presume that Cal (Lewis), Juliette (Hook), Juliette’s impetuous sister Elinor (Gracie Dzienny), and Cal’s immature but devoted brother Apollo (Dominic Goodman) would return for a potential Season 2 based on the popularity of these characters. For the second season, new romantic interests and/or foes might readily be introduced.
When the first season concludes, nearly every character is in a horrible place, but Apollo is exceptionally wretched, having evolved from his jovial, effervescent personality into a vengeful, guilt-ridden hunter. Goodman has some thoughts about how Season 2 of Apollo might evolve. “Either he wallows in his misery or he uses it as fuel,” he previously told Elite Daily. “Especially since we see all these monsters after the episode, I think they’re going to need Apollo to deal with the monsters in Savannah; we’ll see if he’s up for the challenge.”

First Kill Season 2 Plot: What Will Be the Plot of the Horror Thriller Series?
The first season of First Kill included a heartbreak that most of us can identify with, though perhaps not in the same sense as Juliette and Calliope. In the final episode of seas, Cal and Juliette break up, resulting in anguish and suffering on the part of both characters. The lovers did not reconcile, and neither appeared eager to do so, especially in light of the bitter words exchanged between them.
In the background of the sad adolescents, we observe their families independently resolving conflict. Talia assisted Theo in evading Apollo and Jac,k, but Burns was forced to reluctantly hand Theo over to Oliver. After explaining his purpose for returning home and introducing ‘friends’ who would assist him in achieving his objective, Oliver is positioned to become a villain in season two (if it occurs). Because these characters are introduced so late in the season, this may be a suitable jumping-off place for season two.
