American actress and model Jamie Pressly have a net worth of $25 million. She is most recognized for her appearances on “My Name Is Earl” and “Mom.”
Early Life and Career
Jamie Elizabeth Pressly was born in Kinston, North Carolina on July 30, 1977. Her mother was a dancing instructor, while her father sold automobiles. She participated in gymnastics, dance, and singing lessons as a child.
She has revealed that her father referred to her as a “prissy tomboy” when she was a child. Her family moved to Costa Mesa, California, when she was a teenager, and she spent one semester of her sophomore year of high school there.
She was featured on the cover of Teen Magazine at the age of fourteen and became a spokesmodel for the International Cover Model Search. When she was fifteen, her parents were going through a difficult divorce, and she was offered a modeling contract in Japan.
Due to the fact that neither parent could accompany her, she needed to become a legally emancipated minor, a process that was approved by her parents.
In 1997, Pressly starred in the direct-to-video sequel film “Poison Ivy: The New Seduction,” in which she regularly appears nude. In 1998, she was cast in the one-season series “Push,” and the following year, she appeared in many episodes of the similarly short-lived series “Mortal Kombat: Conquest.”
Both of her 1999 films, “The Journey: Absolution” and “Ringmaster,” starring Jerry Springer, were released in theaters but received negative reviews. Over the next several years, the majority of her films will share the same concept. She appeared in the 2000 comedies “100 Girls” and “Poor White Trash.”
The following year, she appeared in the David Spade comedy “Joe Dirt” as well as the action thriller “Ticker” and the comedy satire “Not Another Teen Movie.” She starred in the 2002 horror film “Survival Island” and the 2003 television film “The Johnny Chronicles.” She appeared in the 2004 action film “Torque” alongside Ice Cube and Dane Cook.
As a teenager, Pressly disclosed in interviews that she struggled with bulimia. In 2004, she began dating DJ Eric Calvo, and in 2007, she gave birth to their son.
The couple divorced at the conclusion of 2008. After only nine months, she became engaged to entertainment attorney Simran Singh, and the couple wed in September 2009. Pressly filed for divorce and was detained on suspicion of driving under the influence at the beginning of 2011.
She entered a no-contest plea and was placed on informal probation for the offense. In January 2017, she and her partner Hamzi Hijazi revealed they were expecting twins, and in October of that year, she gave birth to Leo and Lenon.

Pressly debuted in the NBC comedy series “My Name Is Earl” in 2005. She was cast as Joy Turner, the self-absorbed and heartless ex-wife of the main character, and received praise for her performance. The sitcom follows Earl as he wins the jackpot and then strives to amass positive karma in order to atone for his previous criminal and self-centered behavior.
The show got nominations for five Golden Globe Awards, eight Emmy Awards, and four Screen Actors Guild Awards. It was awarded five Emmys. Pressly received an Emmy for her performances throughout the entire series. In addition, she garnered Screen Actors Guild Award and Golden Globe nominations in 2007 and 2008, respectively.
While she was recognized to the public previous to appearing on “My Name Is Earl,” the majority of her notoriety stemmed from her participation in subpar films, and she has indicated that she questioned if acting was the appropriate professional route prior to landing the role.
After “My Name Is Earl” ended in 2009, she continued to appear as a guest star and a recurrent character on various television programs. She appeared in several episodes of “Rules of Engagement” in 2010, and she had a recurring guest role as Donna in the first three seasons of “Raising Hope.”
In 2013, she appeared in “Two and a Half Men,” “Phineas and Ferb,” and the one-season series “I Hate My Teenage Daughter,” in which she played the lead role. In 2014, she portrayed Jennifer Falls in the one-season TV Land sitcom Jennifer Falls and joined the cast of the second season of “Mom.”
She portrays Jill, an affluent, constantly relapsing alcoholic who is a close friend of the title character, played by Anna Farris. Since her first appearance in 2014, she has continued to be a recurring character on the show.
Pressly had the credentials to obtain larger film roles after the triumph of “My Name Is Earl,” but she has mostly adhered to television. In 2008, she portrayed Mrs. Quilligan in the animated film “Horton Hears a Who!,” and the following year, she had a minor role in the bro comedy “I Love You, Man.” In 2012, she played alongside Nick Drago and Cloris Leachman in the fantasy children’s film “The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure.” She had the main part with Robin Thicke in the 2014 direct-to-video romance drama “Making the Rules,” and she also had a leading role in the 2014 horror thriller “A Haunted House 2.” The picture was criticized by reviewers, yet grossed $24 million against a $4 million budget.
