Kim Kardashian is encouraging her 363 million Instagram followers to have a complete body scan and screen for cancer. In an Instagram post on Tuesday, the reality personality and SKIMS creator described her encounter with a Prenuvo machine as “life-saving.”

Prenuvo claims that their full-body scan can detect over 500 anomalies and diseases. And, recently, the brand has been the buzz of celebrities who are willing to spend more than $2500 on a whole-body scan.

The 42-year-old founder of The SKIMS posted a picture of herself in blue scrubs on Instagram last Tuesday. In the shot, she posed with the MRI Scan machine.

Her comment for the photo said, “I just did this @prenuvo scan and had to tell you all about this life-saving machine. With the Prenuvo full-body scan, cancer and diseases like aneurysms can be found in their earliest stages, even before there are any signs. It was like getting an MRI without the radiation for an hour. Some of my friends’ lives have been saved by it, so I had to tell everyone about it. Hashtag noted.”

How Did Fans React to Kim’s Post With MRI Scan Machine?

But Kardashian’s fans didn’t like the suggestion as much, and many of them criticized her because a full body scan with the machine costs $2,499.

“This is for rich people, Kim. One person commented, “People can’t afford food right now.” Another person said, “The fact that most people can’t even get health insurance for a simple checkup.”

A third fan said, “Regular people like me and you can’t afford this kind of preventive care. This is not usually covered by insurance.”

The same thing was said by another user in the comments section: “Love a billionaire recommending preventive care that is completely out of reach for 98% of your fan base, total vibe.”

Kim’s Mom Also Took the Scan

Kim Kardashian is not the only member of her family who has had an MRI. Her 67-year-old mother Kris Jenner had the scan before her birthday before she did. During the checkup, her health was given a clean bill of health.

Kris Jenner wanted to make sure that, like her 88-year-old mother Mary Jo Shannon, she lived her life to the best. During one of the family’s Hulu shows, The Kardashians, she said, “Getting this scan is very important to me because it tells me if there’s anything wrong on the inside of my body that I should be worried about.”

She said, after saying that the scan would take an hour, “Yeah, having 55 minutes to myself is a dream come true for me.” I don’t think I’ve been alone for 55 minutes since 1978.”
