Madison Bumgarner was born in Hickory, North Carolina, on August 1, 1989. Kevin and Debbie are his parents. South Caldwell High School was his alma mater. And was a member of both the school’s baseball team and the American Legion Post 29’s baseball team. He received a baseball scholarship to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

In 2013, he was named to the North Carolina High School Athletic Association’s “100 To Remember” list of male athletes, alongside Michael Jordan, Carl Eller, and Jim Beatty.

Madison Bumgarner, a baseball player, and Ali Saunders, a model, have been dating since they were high school students. Bumgarner married Ali Saunders on February 14, 2010. The couple lives in a condo in San Francisco during the season, but returns to a farm near their hometown of Hickory, North Carolina, during the off-season.

His pro career began with the San Francisco Giants. He was selected in the first round of the 2007 Major League Baseball (MLB) draught by the San Francisco Giants. He was offered a position with the Augusta Greenjackets.
