So, without further ado, here’s a list of all the games coming out in 2023 and after, in order of when they’ll come out.
Hogwarts Legacy
Hogwarts Legacy is not a direct adaptation of the Harry Potter books, but it gets all of its ideas from the stories. You’ll play as a student at Hogwarts in the 1800s, a few hundred years before Harry and his friends were born. You’ll definitely get into a lot of wizardly trouble. Since it’s an open-world RPG, there’s a lot to discover.
Wild Hearts
Wild Hearts is EA’s attempt to compete with Monster Hunter. Wild Hearts is a big and beautiful hunting game that is being made by Omega Force, a division of Koei Tecmo that is best known for the Dynasty Warriors series.
You and two friends will need to get ready, look around, and then fight until the end against some really scary monsters. We can’t wait to see more of Wild Hearts in action because it looks so good.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is the latest game from Team Ninja, the same company that made the Nioh ARPG series. It has both supernatural and historical elements. The later games were very much like Dark Souls, and at first glance, Wo Long seems to be going down the same dangerous path.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is a “dark fantasy action game set in China during the Three Kingdoms period.” It will come out on March 3, and Game Pass will have it at launch. We’re going to keep a close eye on this.
Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon
Even though PlatinumGames just released the long-awaited Bayonetta 3, the studio is already planning its next witchy adventure. Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is coming out on March 17 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
You’ll be able to control Cereza and Cheshire as you solve puzzles and fight faeries. If you have ever wondered where a certain Umbra Witch came from, this is the game for you.
Sons of the Forest
This year, developer Endnight is making a new version of The Forest, which is a survival-horror survival game. Sons of the Forest will have a much bigger play area, new AI for enemies, a new way to make weapons, and new ways to protect yourself out in the wild. Even though it’s only planned for PC right now, this is a very interesting game.
Company of Heroes 3
Company of Heroes 2 came out nine years ago, and Relic Entertainment is about to release a long-awaited sequel that promises to be bigger and better in every way. Company of Heroes 3 looks like it will be a great mix of action, strategy, and tactics. The real-time battle system will be pushed to its limits to include next-generation environments that can be destroyed.
Octopath Traveler 2
Many of you missed out on one of the best retro-inspired RPGs in recent years because the first Octopath Traveler was only available on the Switch. The good news is that Square Enix is making this sequel available on more platforms.

Even if you didn’t play the first game, you can jump right into Octopath Traveler 2 and have fun with the pixel-JRPG fun.
Atomic Heart
We’ve been keeping an eye on Atomic Heart for a few years now. This ambitious FPS-RPG hybrid from developer Mundfish has always seemed too good to be true, like a strange mix of BioShock, Fallout, and Far Cry vibes.
But Atomic Heart is now in sight. Mundfish and publisher Focus Entertainment are working together to get the game out on February 21, 2023, and on Xbox Game Pass.
Like a Dragon: Ishin
Ry ga Gotoku Ishin! is finally coming to places where people speak English. The cult classic Yakuza game came out for PS3 and PS4 in 2014. In 2023, it will come out for PS5 and PC as Like a Dragon: Ishin, which is a full remake of the game. This Yakuza spin-off takes us back in time to the time of the samurai, so you can expect a lot of crazy action.
Destiny 2: Lightfall
Destiny 2 Lightfall is a brand-new addition to the long-running shared-world shooter. Developer Bungie plans to add a new destination (a lush sci-fi city), a new campaign with Legendary difficulty options, a new Raid, and a set of gameplay changes to make Lightfall more enjoyable for both new and returning players. Destiny 2 Lightfall’s release date is just the start. More content is planned for the coming months and years.
