Pacific Rim: The Black season 2 Ending Explained And Recap
Episode 7 begins with a Kaiju attack on Hayley, Taylor, Mei, and Boy as they go to Sydney Base. Visiting Sydney is a myth in Taylor’s view, and the very thought of travelling there makes her anxious. His new normal makes him uncomfortable.
There are more Kaiju to contend with this time, but this time, the Sisters have called in a Category VI Kaiju to help fight them. The characters have no time to rest and must now find a plan to make it to the Sydney Base before it closes. They’re getting closer to Sydney Base, and the military has to figure out if Boy is a danger.
The Kaiju sightings urge them to activate their defence systems as they approach the base. Missiles are fired at our main characters and the Kaiju. At the very last minute, a Category VI Kaiju arrives seemingly out of nowhere. This time, Taylor mentioned his parents when he arrived at the Sydney Base. The military orders a stop of hostilities after realising who they are.
Due to the difficulty of dealing with Category VI Kaiju, Hayley and Taylor are having a horrible time at this stage in their Atlas Destroyer. They understand they are in a desperate situation as they fall to their knees. While the Sisters are attempting to summon Boy, the Messiah calls out to him, and he must choose whether or not to answer. The boy makes his friends.
The AI Loa activates Taylor’s ejection mechanism as the Atlas Destroyer burns to a crisp, saving their lives. They are both overcome with emotion at this point because Loa had been with them since the beginning. Self-destruction of the Atlas Destroyer obliterates the Kaiju and brings the ship down with it, killing everyone aboard.
