Season 48 of “Saturday Night Live” Will Not Feature These Cast Members
The cast of “Saturday Night Live” is undergoing a major revamp in preparation for its 48th season. In response to rumours that Davidson was leaving the long-running comedy series, three of Pete Davidson’s co-stars quit the show during the season 47 finale. During the programme hosted by “Russian Doll” actor Natasha Lyonne, Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant, and Kyle Mooney expressed their farewells to Studio 8H.
At least eight seasons have passed for each of the four performers on the show. Considering the substantial work each of them has done outside of “SNL” during their career there, this is quite an accomplishment. Due to films such as “The King of Staten Island” and “Suicide Squad,” 20-year-old Davidson is now a renowned actor. Both McKinnon and Bryant have lately acted in films including The Spy Who Dumped Me, the reboot of “Ghostbusters,” and “Bombshell,” the co-created Hulu series.
In recent years, the performers’ careers have become increasingly demanding, necessitating absences from episodes. It is therefore reasonable that they have decided to move on at this time.
