Marvel Snap Tips and Tricks for Advanced Players: If you want to play a great collectible card game, you should try Marvel Snap. Its fast-paced and strategic gameplay has taken the card game world by storm, but it may be hard to get to the top ranks once you know how to play.
Marvel Snap is easy to learn, but at higher levels, it gets very competitive. We’ve put together all of the tips and tricks you’ll need to beat your opponents and win the game. So get your Android tablet of choice and let’s start winning games.
Battle Mode Lets You Play With a Friend
It can be hard to figure out where you went wrong in a game, but you probably won’t face the same deck again. Battle Mode is the newest way to play Marvel Snap, and it lets you play multiple rounds against a friend. Even though this mode is different from the normal way to play Marvel Snap, it is still a great way to practice playing against a certain deck.
Use One or Two Cards to Build Your Marvel Snap Deck
Everyone should look at the best decks in the metagame. Even though playing with pre-made decks isn’t as fun, they can teach you a lot about how to make your own. Most importantly, you’ll see that they are built around one or two “anchor” cards instead of a random collection of “good” cards.
Most of the time, these anchor cards cost five or six power and have big effects on your deck. So, when building a deck, start with a couple of high-cost cards and choose low-cost cards that go well with them.
There is a Certain Way to Upgrade Your Cards
You’ll quickly see that the rates at which you earn Boosters and Credits are very different. By the time you get to Pool 3, you will probably have some cards with more than 100 boosters but not enough credits to upgrade them.
Follow these steps to get the most out of your card upgrades:
- Make sure that every card is at least Rare.
- One card at a time, raise it to the Infinity rank, and then split it.
- Start over at step 1.
This method will make sure that you use your Credits in the best way possible and is the fastest way to raise your Collection Level.
Don’t Wait Too Long to Snap
Even though it might be tempting to only Snap when you’re sure you’ll win, your opponent is likely to give up in these situations. Or, if your opponent calls your Snap-on Turn 5, they probably think they can beat you, which could cost you eight cubes and make it too late to change your mind. Know your deck inside and out, and Snap as soon as you have the winning hand.
Even though this strategy can go wrong, good players will know how to read the board. If your opponent gives up early, you get two cubes instead of one, and you can also get out of the game early and not lose eight cubes.
Don’t Worry That You’ll Miss Early Turns
It’s rare for a game to be over on the first turn, so don’t worry if you can’t play a card right away. Having more cards that cost two mana can make your Turn 2 better and set you up for powerful cards like Sera.

Even though skipping Turn 2 can be riskier, it’s still fine to do so sometimes. For example, if you save Lizard for later turns, your opponent won’t be able to counter it.
Build Your Strategy for Marvel Snap Around Places, Not Cards
In our review of Marvel Snap, we said that the locations were probably the best thing about it. They are also the most important part of the game because they make a big difference in how you play.
Locations are good for certain decks, but if you don’t include Uatu (which we don’t recommend), you won’t know your strategy until turn three. Locations like Onslaught’s Citadel and Kamar-Taj can make a big difference in whether you win or lose, so put them at the top of your list when deciding what card to play next.
Rhino and Scarlet Witch are useful cards that let you get around bad locations. If the locations aren’t in your favor, you should keep one of these cards on hand.

Choose Who Goes First
The first player to show their cards is the one who wins the most locations (indicated by the glowing border around their username). Depending on your deck, you may want to show the second card (useful for Shang-Chi) or the first card (the perfect time to use Cosmo).
Choosing how the game goes is hard when you have to keep track of your cards and locations, but it can change the outcome of the game in a big way.
Remember That You Only Need to Win Two Locations
It’s easy to get caught up in the action and try to win all the spots on the board. This isn’t necessary, and if you spread your power too thin, you could lose games. This is where the art of bluffing comes in.
You can trick your opponent into putting all of their powerful cards in one spot while you put yours in two. Move cards are a great way to throw your opponent off, but cards like Ultron and Dr. Doom can quickly take control of other places.
