Tsukimichi Season 2

Tsukimichi Season 2 Release Date: Most of the heroes in isekai anime get a blessing from the gods that send them to a fantasy world. When it comes to the main character of the anime “Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy,” on the other hand, nothing could be further from the truth. The fact that the main character of the show is hated by a god makes him unique among isekai protagonists, even though his story of going to another world follows many isekai tropes.

Still, this 2021 anime was popular enough that the people who made it have decided to make a second season. The series is based on the same-named light novel and manga series by Kei Azumi (via Anime News Network). It calls itself a “social reform fantasy.” “Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy” has been able to get the attention of at least some anime fans because of its unique idea. So, the show is worth thinking about as it gets close to the release of its second season. So, here’s what we know so far about when Season 2 of “Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy” will come out, who will be in it, and what will happen.

Does Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy Season 2 Have a Release Date?

Unfortunately, C2C Animation hasn’t said much about when Season 2 of “Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy” will be released. The staff confirmed that there will be a second season of “Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy” on the official website for the show. But the update didn’t say exactly when the show would start up again.

For some background, C2C’s last series, “Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina,” came out in October 2019, about a year after it was first announced. So, we can assume that Season 2 of “Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy” will be made in the same way. In other words, fans should be able to watch the show again sometime between the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023.

As for where fans can watch Season 2 of “Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy,” Crunchyroll had streaming rights for the first season everywhere except Asia. This means that fans in the western hemisphere will probably only be able to watch Season 2 on Crunchyroll.

Who Are the Characters in Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy Season 2?

Like much isekai anime, “Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy” is about a normal Japanese man who is called by a goddess from the real world to a wonderful fantasy world. In “Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy,” this everyman is Makoto Misumi (Natsuki Hanae). When he is first summoned, he thinks he is going to get a great new life (via Myanimelist). That is, until the goddess who called Makoto finds him so ugly that she throws him to the very edge of the desert. Even so, Makoto is still stronger and more successful than almost everyone else in this world.

His success is not just due to how much magic power he has, though. Makoto also has a few allies, most notably Tomoe and Mio, who are voiced by Ayane Sakura and Akari Kitou, respectively (Myanimelist). Tomoe and Mio are strong enough on their own as a powerful dragons and spider-monster, but they also sign contracts with Makoto to be his servants after losing to him. Together, they go on adventures, trade goods, and try to make the world a better place.

What Is the Plot of Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy Season 2?

In the last episode of Season 1 of “Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy,” Makoto meets Sofia Bulga (Miyuki Sawashiro), a strong adventurer, and Mitsurugi (Souma Saitou), a dragon, and beats them both. The two have chosen, for some reason, to help the army of demons destroy humanity. But Makoto stops this from happening, which may play right into the hands of the mean goddess who called him in the first place. It’s not clear what her plans are, but the fact that she’s starting to see Makoto as a threat because he’s getting stronger doesn’t look good for our hero.

Makoto keeps doing what he does best, which is growing the community of villagers, traders, and adventurers that he has helped build in Tomoe’s dimension. At the same time, he wants to get closer to the people in this world, which is something the goddess has tried very hard to stop. When Season 2 of “Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy” comes out, we’ll find out if Makoto achieves any of these goals.
