The social media platform’s addicts are all too aware of how rich in entertaining content TikTok is. A variety of topics are covered in bite-sized movies, including funny sketches, information on specialized subjects, and adorable baby animals. Additionally, it can answer queries you may not have given much thought to before, including Why is the penis shaped like a mushroom? For genuine, yes.

The search term “penis mushroom-shaped” suddenly became popular on Google in April 2022. After some investigation, we were able to determine both the reason behind the sudden interest in the shape of a human penis’ tip and the solution to the query.

Why is the Penis Shaped Like a Mushroom?

One factor accounts for the mushroom shape: competition for impregnation. To put it another way, human penises are formed like a mushroom to allow them to scoop up the semen of rivals. Their semen will have a better probability of fertilising an egg in this manner.

But don’t take it from us; real scientists have looked at the anatomy of the human penis. That was the goal of a 2003 study conducted by Professor Gordon Gallup of the State University of New York.

The human penis may operate to displace seminal fluid from competing males in the vagina by forcing it back over/under the glans since it has a considerably larger glans and more pronounced coronal ridge than is found in many other primates, according to the study. As it goes on:

“Repeated thrusting would pull out and push foreign semen away from the cervix during sexual contact. As a result, if a female copulated with multiple males quickly, following males could “scoop out” semen that had been dropped by the first male before ejaculating.”

The penis is formed like a mushroom to eliminate competing semen from the vagina before ejaculation, improving the male’s chances of becoming pregnant. Science, my dear.

But Why in the World is the Phrase “Penis Mushroom-shaped” Trending on Google?

This is all well and good, but why are so many people interested in the human penis’ form about a tasty fungus? As with many popular themes in 2022, it all started on TikTok.

One TikTok user named Seth Bob made a video that has received more than 1.2 million views so far. The film opens with a stitched message that asks, “Have you ever Googled why the tip of the penis is mushroom-shaped,” along with groaning emojis. Seth steps in to provide a demonstration at that point. (Don’t worry; his explanation contains no nudity but still provides a fantastic visual for those with an interest.)

Text on Seth’s video reads, “Decided to Google it and demonstrate for y’all,” as he slips a pipe into a coil containing white liquid. “We now have a chance to hit second base thanks to evolution. New things should replace the old.” Additionally, the comments area is rather entertaining. As disgusting as it is, one TikTok user said, “That’s incredibly amazing that it’s true.”

Another participant added: “Yes! In high school, I discovered this. Living off the strongest.” Another person commented, “My spouse has been fighting himself for quite a long then.

If you scroll for a while, you might even learn a little something about the penises of other species. Another guy said, “Dragonflies are considerably more active with it and have scrubbers that perform the same job. In response, Seth said, “I’ll also need to do some reading on it. Are you familiar with cats’ barbs? Now I do.” You are now aware as well.
