On March 16, Netflix announced that a new animated series from DreamWorks Animation would expand the Kung Fu Panda universe, with Jack Black reprising his role as Po the panda. Peter Hastings and Shaunt Nigoghossian joined the series as executive producers, while Chris Amick and Ben Mekler joined as co-executive producers.
